Next filler lesson for the blog making money online class

1. Go to www.twitter.com
2. Sign up for an account there.  Use your firstname_lastname if you want to promote yourself, or choose a “pen name” or “alias” you plan to stick with in your online career.
3. Upload your picture.  You may have to optimize the photo or make it fit the right dimensions.  Email me your pic and ask me to do it for you if you have trouble with this part but you NEED a photo uploaded to your account.
4. Find and Follow:  “skysurfergirl” (that’s me b4 I knew it was better to use my name)
5. Once you are following me, I will follow you and we will be connected.
6. I will then show you how to connect your twitter space to your blog.  As long as you twitter often (which is a lot easier than blogging – it’s called “micro-blogging”) then you can keep your blog active more easily.  As you know the search engines like active blogs and fresh content.
7. I will also show you some easy ways to start having some great conversations online that will build up your foundation and your network.

The Stompernet Live 6 event in Atlanta was amazing. I am so inspired. I am filled with the juice of action – I am willing and able to do what it takes to fly, and I want you all to fly with me. Just to keep you in the loop, here’s a chat transcript between myself and my coworker today…she wanted to know what I learned and how she can apply some of the stuff too.

[13:26] zhenyanhr: is that you need to develop your personality and your brand
[13:26] zhenyanhr: even when you are working for someone else
[13:26] zhenyanhr: so get concise about your passions in life
[13:26] zhenyanhr: and start to develop yourself online as an expert in that field
[13:26] zhenyanhr: keep the blogging thing up as I said
[13:27] zhenyanhr: and you can link twitter to your blog and have it update both places at once
[13:27] zhenyanhr: and you can also update twitter from your phone
[13:27] zhenyanhr: there is A LOT of info
[13:27] zhenyanhr: so I’ll give you a little at atime

You heard me! Start writing on your blog every day. I don’t care what you write about. Write about how you love the blue sky. Write about the shoes you want to buy. Write about your headache, or if you actually have an article, post that. It doesn’t matter. Just keep your blog alive.
